News: Postcards Home New Showroom Brings Global Influence and Local Connections to Las Vegas Design Center

(LAS VEGAS)— Donna Johnson and Craig Dye traveled the world and brought their discoveries home to their new showroom Postcards Home (A-119), now open at Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center Las Vegas.

With decades of design experience between them, Johnson and Dye opened RDZine in 2003—a full-service residential interior design firm in Las Vegas. While working with clients, they were often challenged with finding upholstery, furniture, lighting and decorative accessories that they truly loved.

“We were constantly searching for something new and innovative that sparked our imagination,” Johnson said. “We couldn’t find it easily, so we decided to create it,” added Dye.  With the opening of their new showroom, they hope to broaden their audience yet again.

“Donna and Craig are extremely talented, creative people who are a real pleasure to work with and we couldn’t be happier to have them at LVDC,” says Randy Wells, vice president of Las Vegas Design Center. “Their talent for visual merchandising combined with their design aesthetic is going to yield a showroom with a personality all its own.  It’s going to make an outstanding addition to our design center.”

The showroom's name was inspired by the idea of traveling throughout the world and bringing back beautiful and unique items representative of the journey. Johnson and Dye describe their aesthetic as modern-retro and a return to another era and because their interior design business is being incorporated into their brick and mortar showroom, they will be uniquely positioned to provide not only interior design services but beautiful products.

Dye described the showroom as a one-stop-shop for designers as well as their clients, adding that Postcards Home can assist with the entire home, from construction-related products to furnishings. Their services range from basic to comprehensive, suiting each client’s needs.

“We plan to pull together vignettes in our showroom, and act as a creative catalyst. Clients can purchase a fully designed room, from the rug to the furnishings to the casegoods and accessories, even artwork and wall treatments. This is ideal for designers who can bring their clients in to show them how all of the pieces work together.”

Featured brands in the Postcards Home showroom will include Visual Comfort, Wood-Mode, Paul Robert, The French Bee, Theresa Seidel and more. Postcards Home will also offer products from other Las Vegas-based businesses, such as stone fireplaces from Realm of Design.

Now open to the public, Las Vegas Design Center’s Design Salon gives consumers unique access to Las Vegas Design Center showrooms. The Design Salon offers complimentary consultations by design professionals and allows the public unprecedented access to Las Vegas Design Center’s home furnishings showrooms.  The Design Salon is the product of a partnership between Las Vegas Design Center and The American Society of Interior Designers’ (ASID) California Central/Nevada chapter.
